– Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness welcome us to another edition of 205 Live. We see a video package of Cedric Alexander’s huge victory over Roderick Strong last week. Tonight we will hear from GM Drake Maverick, and we’ll find out who will face Alexander for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania 34.
(1) Hideo Itami (w/ Akira Tozawa) def. Lince Dorado (w/ Gran Metalik & Kalisto) via DQ. Pretty good back and forth match while it lasted. They beat the crap out of each other with stiff kicks and strikes and Dorado did some great springboard attacks and hit a few big dives to the outside. Itami ended up getting in a shoving contest with Metalik on the floor just as things were picking up and the ref through the match out.
– Both sides almost came to blows but Kalisto was able to cool everybody down and smooth things over.
– TJ Perkins does an interview backstage saying he doesn’t care about who wins the Cruiserweight Championship at WrestleMania, he just cares about who gets the next shot, and claims that man is going to be him.
(2) TJ Perkins def. Kenneth Johnson. I believe Kenneth was the guy who lost to Akira Tozawa in the first round of the Cruiserweight Classic. He hasn’t been seen since, and didn’t really show up here. TJP got the quick win with a Detonation Kick into the kneebar for the submission.
