“When you think of softball, you instantly think of the ASA Hall of Fame and all of the events they host on site,” said Langston University Head Coach, Hosea Bell. “This is the premier place for softball in the United States and I’m so thankful that we were able to use this venue.”

Two matchups will kick off the HBCU Classic as Texas Southern will face Huston-Tillotson on INTEGRIS Field, while Southern University will take on Oklahoma’s own Langston University on OGE Energy Field Friday at 10 a.m. CT. A total of four games will be played on each field both Friday and Saturday to account for 16 games total split between two days.  All games will be streamed online for free at USASoftball.com.

“It’s a great opportunity for us as a university but also for the institutions participating,” said Langston University Director of Athletics, Donnita Rogers. “Five, 10, 20 years down the line each one of these athletes can say ‘I played at the ASA Hall of Fame’ and that in itself is a tremendous accomplishment. So we’re excited and ready to get going.”

Admission is $10 per-day and $5 per-day for high school students with a valid ID, while tournament passes can be purchased for $15. Langston University students can present their student ID for free admission. Tickets and tournament passes will be sold at the gate of the ASA Hall of Fame Complex.  Information for the tournament can be found at USASoftball.com.
