WWE Star Loses His Job On RAW, Another Star Given Referee Job

The tag team of Heath Slater & Rhyno is now officially done on The Monday Night RAW Brand. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW from Houston, Texas saw Heath Slater defeat Rhyno in a match where the loser will get fired.
The match was made earlier tonight by General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin, who said that he had been crunching some numbers and found that RAW only had room for one of them. Corbin then gave them the chance to quit to save the other’s job but they refused and he made the match.
In a twist to the story, Corbin later confronted Slater in a backstage segment and revealed that he is keeping him on the red brand as a referee and not as an in-ring performer.

In an update that was just recently announced, WWE Veteran Rhyno announced his retirement to the live crowd during a commercial break after the match. Stay tuned for updates on his retirement.
There is no word yet on what they have planned for Slater as a referee, but we will keep you updated.
Below are a few shots from tonight’s match between The First-Ever SmackDown LIVE Tag Team Champions:

SCSU’s Rabiu expects great results at wrestling regions

When Uthman Rabiu went to his first wrestling practice, it is safe to say he did not know what he was in for.

“The head wrestling coach was a teacher at the middle school I was at and I was waiting for my brother after class one day and I was a little troublemaker as a kid,” he said. “(The coach) said, ‘Why don’t you come to practice?’ and one of my friends asked me to go to practice. Lawler Details The One Time He Saw Vince McMahon Get Emotional

In addition to being a WWE Hall Of Famer & The King Of Memphis Wrestling, Jerry Lawler is also an accomplished artist. He has done everything from drawing wrestling cards for Topps to painting the cover of Headlocked, a pro wrestling comic book.
Lawler also created a portrait of the man who brought him to WWE over 25 years ago: Vince McMahon. However, the reaction of McMahon to the drawing was one that The King never expected to get.
“I did a portrait, a big nice portrait for Vince,” Lawler said on his podcast. “It was like a triple portrait – Vince was in the middle, on the left was Shane and on the right was Vince Sr.”
King says that he then framed the portrait and took it to Monday Night RAW where he ran into Stephanie McMahon, as seen below:
“I saw Stephanie and I unwrapped it and she saw it and went, ‘Oh my gosh! Vince is going to cry,’ stated Lawler.
“I went what?”
“‘I’m telling you, he’s going to cry when he sees that,’ Stephanie said to a surprised King. ‘Mark my words.’”
King then went up to Vince backstage where he unveiled the portrait.
“I opened the portrait up and he immediately looked at it and his hand covered his mouth,” said Lawler. “And he turned away immediately. He turned away and walked over into a corner. And he just stood there for a couple of minutes and he slowly came back and looked at the picture again.
“It brought tears to his eyes. I was shocked and then he hugged me and said how much he loved it. But that was like the one moment that I ever really saw from Vince that kind of emotion.
“And that portrait is still hanging in his office.”
