MINNEAPOLIS — George Floyd suffered a cardiopulmonary arrest when he was restrained by Officer Derek Chauvin during his Memorial Day arrest, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. The manner of death was listed as homicide.
Floyd “experienced a cardiopulmonary arrest while being restrained” by police, the examiner states. Other significant conditions Floyd suffered include arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, fentanyl intoxication, and recent methamphetamine use, according to the report.
The examiner’s ruling was delayed until Monday because it needed “further testing and investigation by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI.”
Earlier Monday, an independent autopsy conducted by doctors hired by the legal team representing Floyd’s family found he died from asphyxia due to sustained forceful pressure.
Former Gophers 141-pounder Mike Thorn, a two-time All-American, checked-in with GopherSports to see what he’s been up to since graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2011.
The Thorn family has become synonymous with the Gophers program after Mike and his brothers David and Tommy all had successful careers in their home state earning All-American status. Continue reading at gophersports.com
As previously reported, WWE has quietly moved Andrade & Zelina Vega back to SmackDown LIVE after they were moved to Monday Night RAW as part of The 2019 WWE Superstar Shakeup. Aleister Black, who is married to Vega, was also moved to the blue brand after being confirmed for the red brand in last week’s Superstar Shakeup.
Aside from WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe moving to Monday Night RAW from SmackDown LIVE on tonight’s show, there will be at least one more roster change as Cesaro is also moving to RAW from SmackDown LIVE, according to John Pollock. This would break up The Bar as Sheamus is staying on SmackDown LIVE. As previously reported, the tag team of Ricochet & Aleister Black is also splitting up as Ricochet will stay on the red brand. Pollock adds that Cesaro is scheduled for tonight’s RAW in Des Moines, Iowa.
Regarding Andrade & Vega moving back to SmackDown LIVE, PWInsider reports that the move was made, in part, at the request of FOX Officials as they prepare for SmackDown LIVE to join the network in early October on Friday nights. The network apparently felt like the blue brand lacks major Latino Superstars following The Superstar Shakeup as Rey Mysterio was moved to RAW. FOX has plans to spotlight WWE’s Latino talents on their Spanish language channel, FOX Deportes, later this year when The Friday night move takes place.
Black’s move to SmackDown LIVE was, at least in part, due to his marriage to Vega. WWE has made an effort to keep married couples on the same brand. As previously reported, Andrade will be back on the same brand as girlfriend Charlotte Flair now. PWInsider adds that there were some ideas pitched for Black on SmackDown LIVE that went with the move.
WWE Hall Of Famer Sean “X-Pac” Waltman recently took to his X-Pac 1,2,360 Podcast and talked about CM Punk possibly returning to Pro Wrestling. After almost 5 years of not wrestling or making an appearance at a Pro Wrestling Event, Former WWE Superstar CM Punk recently made a run-in at MKE Wrestling’s The Last Knight Event from The Knights Of Columbus Building in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Sean Waltman shared his thoughts on if CM Punk will return to Pro Wrestling and where he might show up if he does choose to come back.
Waltman said, ‘I’m never coming back to wrestling.’ I mean he said that over and over again. History tells me that eventually he will return to wrestling… A lot of people in entertainment that mean it just as much as he does eventually come back…. Trust me he will be back; I promise you at some point CM Punk will be back involved in wrestling”.
He continued with, “And no one should go like ‘oh see we told you’ cause it’s his life. And at the time he means it, when he said ‘I am never coming back’ he means it. It’s just that history shows that everyone who meant it too comes back.”
Many thought that CM Punk would show up at ALL IN, which he didn’t. But Waltman believes that Punk will appear in the promotion that ALL IN paved the way for, that being AEW.
Waltman said, “I can honestly see him showing up in AEW.” “That could be like this huge surprise that they’re waiting to drop with the announcement of a TV deal.”

Ronda Rousey has not appeared on WWE programming ever since her match at WrestleMania 35, and one of the reasons why the former MMA fighter has been absent is because she received a hand injury during the match. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert lastnight, Rousey appeared to discuss her voice role in the new Mortal Kombat 11 video game. Her hand was still in a cast, and she took the time to explain to the host how exactly she received the injury during her match. Rousey has also said that she is currently on an “impregnation vacation” and may actually never return to the ring for another match. However, WWE confirmed earlier this year that she is under contract with the company until 2021. “I need to get better at faking it. This [injury] is from the main event of WrestleMania. There was a point in the match where I was teasing that I was going to throw a girl through a table and then I went, ‘Tables are for b—-es!’ And I threw the table. … I was coming in hot, and I started punching and sometimes you catch a pinky with an elbow. I remember looking at my hand and seeing I had six knuckles. I was like, ‘Man, I have to punch so much more after this.” Rousey said.
Carmella is still competing on SmackDown alongside R-Truth, and she has the chance to win the Money in the Bank briefcase once again when she competes in the ladder match at the pay-per-view of the same name later this month. It appears that Carmella is bringing back one of her classic looks just in time for the match. Carmella just revealed on Instagram that she has gone back to being blonde. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion sported blonde hair throughout much of her WWE career before dropping the color last year. Now that Carmella has her old look back, perhaps she can go back to her winning ways and become a champion in WWE once again, but she will have to win the ladder match in order to do that.

Before AJ Styles became a top star and a world champion for New Japan Pro Wrestling or WWE, he spent several years competing for TNA Wrestling. Although Styles was considered a “TNA Original” and became a top star during his time with the promotion, he has been critical of TNA in recent years. After fans began mocking the designs of some of the shirts that Styles had while he wrestled for TNA, the former WWE Champion fired back with a tweet noting that TNA came up with worse ideas than just his shirt designs. Styles appeared on the very first TNA show in 2002 and kept wrestling for the promotion until he left in 2013. He signed a new multi-year contract with WWE back in March of this year.
I wish I could tell u this was the worst thing TNA has ever come up with. https://t.co/TX5BdpFzVx
