Daniel Bryan Posts Touching Tribute, Photo Gallery In Honor Of His Late Dog Josie

As noted, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella’s dog “Josie” recently passed away.

In addition to the touching tribute that Brie posted, Bryan also posted one of his own via his official Instagram page a few days ago.

For those who missed it, Bryan posted the following statement in honor of his late buddy on Sunday:

“On Wednesday I posted a picture of Josie, happy and playful. Less than 18 hours after taking that picture, I was rushing her to the emergency vet, where she passed shortly thereafter. Our family is devastated. But in this grief, I try to focus on gratitude, because our sweet Josie gave me so much. To Bri and I, Josie was our first baby, and Josie turned us from a couple into a family. When I was going through a mental breakdown and no one else could get through to me, Josie held me together. Feeding her, walking her and playing with her gave me purpose, and her nurturing affection started healing my heart. When I got neck surgery and I was alone and afraid, I envisioned Josie sitting on my chest, as she would often do, licking my nose, and that gave me comfort and courage. Josie made me laugh when I was sad, nurtured me when I was hurting, and brought joy to my heart on a daily basis. Thank you Josie, for the joy you brought our family. Thank you Josie, for loving me the way that you did when I needed it most. We miss you deeply. We love you deeply. Always.”

Cody Claims AEW Is Result Of Indy Wrestling Boom, NWA Executive Talks Brewing WWE vs. AEW War

The Atlanta Journal-Construction features a new piece focusing on the changing landscape in professional wrestling as of late, and particularly moving forward.

NWA Owner Billy Corgan spoke about the vision for his product in the story, noting he wants his wrestling like his rock and roll, “a little more rough around the edges.”

“We want something that feels a little more rough around the edges, kind of like how I like my rock and roll,” Corgan said. “We want to bring back the chaos and anarchy into the wrestling product.”

Also featured in the article is one of the Executive Vice Presidents of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Cody Rhodes. The man who challenges Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view in November at Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland shared his belief that when in doubt — look first at the product in the ring itself.

“When other things lack in our industry, the first thing you look back toward is the ring itself,” Cody said. “If the fights and storylines aren’t compelling, fans won’t come.”

Additionally, Cody also spoke about the “independent wrestling boom.”

“The indie boom turned into the AEW boom,” he claimed.

NWA’s Dave Lagana was also quoted in the article talking about the brewing wrestling war between WWE and AEW heading into their Wednesday night showdown, with AEW On TNT and NXT TV On USA Network going directly against each other in particular.

“They want to compete with WWE,” Lagana said of AEW. “As much as they say they don’t, they obviously are.”

Fans of the NBC series “The Titan Games” get ready, as season two is on its’ way!

DWAYNE JOHNSON AND DANY GARCIA’S ATHLETIC COMPETITION SERIES ‘THE TITAN GAMES’ RETURNS ON NBC FOR A SECOND SEASON

NBC has renewed the epic athletic competition series “The Titan Games,” executive produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, Seven Bucks Productions and Universal Television Alternative Studio.

“When we launched ‘The Titan Games,’ we set out to create an entirely new athletic competition series unlike anything ever done before,” said host and executive producer Dwayne Johnson. “I’m excited to get back into the Titan arena and meet our new group of tough, limitless, and inspirational men and women from all walks of life. They will be tested mentally and physically at the highest level, going head-to-head in our diabolical and insane challenges. Season one was epic and our Titans pushed all boundaries, so for season two we are taking it to the next level with new challenges, a new arena setting and an incredible set of competitors.”

“We were absolutely thrilled with the overwhelming response from season one and can’t wait to see what our new Titans can achieve in the arena,” said executive producer Dany Garcia. “Audiences were inspired, engrossed and entertained as our extraordinary competitors used their will and unflinching determination to overcome mental and physical challenges never thought possible. Their strength and perseverance defied expectations and challenged us to think even bigger for season two, so if you are passionate, focused and ready to push past all limits – both physically and mentally – then the Titan arena is ready for you.”

“The everyday heroes we found in season one were remarkable athletes with inspirational stories of triumph,” said executive producer Arthur Smith, Chairman of A. Smith & Co. Productions. “In season two, we’re raising the bar with new and fun innovative challenges for Dwayne to test the mettle of our amazing competitors to see which ones will be worthy of being called the next Titan.”

In its first season, “The Titan Games” scored a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49 with 6.0 million viewers overall in “live plus seven day” Nielsens, and those figures grew to a 2.6 in 18-49 and 8.6 million viewers after 35 days of digital and linear delayed viewing. “The Titan Games” improved NBC’s Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot by 19% or 1.2 million persons in total viewers versus NBC’s results in the timeslot one year earlier.

Inspired by Johnson’s desire to motivate global audiences to reach their potential for greatness, “The Titan Games” gives men and women across the country the opportunity to step inside the Titan arena and achieve the impossible. Competitors push their bodies to the limit by battling opponents in unforgiving head-to-head challenges, designed by Johnson. Winners advance to the ultimate challenge of Mt. Olympus, the consummate athletic test of speed, strength, agility and endurance. “The Titan Games” not only tests the competitors’ physical strength, but also their mental and emotional fortitude.

Season one of “The Titan Games” crowned two winners: Miami beer truck driver James Jean-Louis and Atlanta metabolic technician Charity Witt. Jean-Louis, a hardworking single father, used fitness as something positive to focus on after a troubled upbringing. Witt found a passion for powerlifting that was fueled by her tenacious personality and understanding of hard work. Both earned $100,000 and the title of Titan Champion.

Bray Wyatt Apologizes To Braun Strowman For Fiend Attack, Strowman Comments

WWE superstar Bray Wyatt took to Twitter earlier this morning to apologize to Braun Strowman for “losing control” after The Fiend attacked the Monster Among Men during last night’s Raw main event matchup against Seth Rollins. Wyatt writes, “Forgive us Braun. This will all make sense in the End. I’m losing control of it. I’m sorry. So sorry.”

NXT head commentator Mauro Ranallo took to Twitter earlier today to hype up tomorrow’s episode of NXT, which will be airing both hours live on the USA Network for the first time. Jeff Hardy Update: Court Date Set, License Revoked & Reportedly Got Into a Fight With His Wife

— As reported last week, injured WWE star Jeff Hardy was in the news for all the wrong reasons again, this time being arrested and charged for DWI. A court date of 11/7 has been set but his license has been suspended for 30 days, pending the results of that court appearance.

— Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting on more details of Jeff’s arrest. According to their report, the police received a tip about an erratic driver around 8:40 on 10/3 and ended up finding the car parked in front of the liquor store with Hardy inside the store. When he came out, Jeff was carrying a case of beer and then got into his vehicle and drove away with cops following closely behind. He was observed weaving in and out of his line at which time he was pulled over.

— During the stop, officers observed that Hardy had “dried blood” in and around his nose and asked him what that was from to which Jeff responded it was from an earlier “fight” with his wife. Hardy admitted to taking two shots of vodka but “bombed” the field sobriety test and admitted that he was impaired, however, was uncooperative when asked for a breathalyzer or blood sample. Eventually, the officers got a warrant from a judge to extract a blood sample and EMS was dispatched to complete that procedure.

— No further details were made public, but police will not pursue any domestic violence charges against his wife unless Hardy chooses to press charges.

Zelina Vega released by WWE, tweets in support of unionization

Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad Budgen) is no longer with WWE.

WWE announced this afternoon that they’ve come to terms on the release of Vega: “WWE has come to terms on the release of Zelina Vega. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Moments before Vega’s release was officially announced on WWE.com, she tweeted “I support unionization.” Last month, Vega responded to a tweet from Paige about unionization with a thinking face emoji and “hmm..”

Post Wrestling reported that Vega’s release was already known about internally before her tweet from today.

Vega and Paige are both prominent Twitch streamers who would be affected by WWE’s recent Twitch edict and crackdown on talent third-party deals. Paige tweeted about Vega’s release: “This sucks..”

Vega also recently launched an OnlyFans account featuring cosplay photos with a no-nudity policy.

Vega joined the SmackDown roster last month as a post-draft signing after not being selected in the WWE Draft. Vega formerly managed Andrade and Angel Garza on WWE television. Garza is on Raw, while Andrade hasn’t officially been assigned to a brand yet following the draft.

On SmackDown last week, Ruby Riott defeated Vega and Natalya in a triple threat Survivor Series qualifying match. Riott submitted Vega to get the win.

Vega had been under contract with WWE since 2017.

Title Match, Additional Bout Announced For Wednesday's AEW Dynamite Show In Nashville, TN. (11/13)

All Elite Wrestling has confirmed two big matches for this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, including one that could result in the first “double champion” in AEW history, depending on the outcome.

As noted, AEW President Tony Khan, Chris Jericho and others spoke with members of the media in attendance at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland after the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view on Saturday night.

During his post-show media scrum, Jericho spoke about being offended that he and fellow member of The Inner Circle, “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara, are not included in the new, official AEW rankings for the tag-team division.

Jericho noted that he and Guevara are undefeated as a tag-team in AEW, and that the two will be challenging SoCal Uncensored — Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky — for the AEW World Tag-Team Championships this Wednesday night at AEW Dynamite.

If The Inner Circle members are successful in their tag-team title bid this coming Wednesday night, Jericho will become the first “double champion” in AEW history, as he will be the reigning and defending AEW World’s Heavyweight Champion and one-half of the AEW World Tag-Team Champions.

In his media scrum after the PPV on Saturday night, Khan confirmed the Jericho and Guevara vs. Kazarian and Sky match for the AEW World Tag-Team Championships for this Wednesday night’s edition of AEW Dynamite.

Additionally, Khan confirmed the third consecutive match between rivals Hangman Page and PAC for this coming week’s AEW Dynamite on TNT broadcast.

Trump shocks the world with White House win

NEW YORK — Donald J. Trump shocked the world Tuesday, winning election as the 45th president of the United States.

The Republican nominee’s victory came after projections showed him winning the states of Florida and North Carolina, as well as Wisconsin, which a Republican nominee had not won in decades.

Trump, once again, defied all the predictions.

His condemnations of the political establishment and his insistence that he alone can restore American greatness resonated with voters far from the media epicenters of the east and west coast. They came out in huge numbers to lift him to victory in the key battleground states. Jubiliation built throughout the evening at his election night headquarters at a midtown Manhattan hotel

Trump’s win is a huge upset to virtually everyone but the ebullient candidate himself. Clinton had led by around three points in the national polling averages as Election Day dawned, and some data prediction websites had put her chances of victory around 90 percent.

Polling organizations will face hard questions as to how they misread Trump’s backing so badly, even though aides to the candidate had long insisted that there were “shy” supporters who were not admitting their allegiances.

It’s not the first time the billionaire real estate magnate has upset the odds. When he began his White House bid in June 2015, pundits and political professionals derided his chances. They were proven wrong, in the first instance, when he won the GOP nomination against a large field that included several more seasoned rivals. They have been proven wrong in even more emphatic fashion now that he is president-elect.

Trump’s supporters, unswerving in their loyalty toward him, have opted for a man who framed his lack of formal political experience as an asset. He has never sought political office before.

But a plurality of voters have accepted his central arguments: that the American system is broken or rigged, that the U.S. has been weakened on the world stage; and that only a man of Trump’s force of personality — and distaste for political correctness — is capable of putting things right.

The result amounted to a political earthquake. “This is the end of the old establishment that has been running this country for years,” exulted Carl Paladino, a former gubernatorial candidate in New York and a Trump supporter. “This is about an uprising of the middle class in America and about saying, ‘Enough is enough, we’ve had enough of your bullshit.’”

President-elect Trump will be leading a deeply divided nation, however. His campaign ignited fierce opposition as well as support. Polls on personal favorability showed repeatedly that he was the most disliked major-party nominee of modern times — though Clinton was a close second.

His detractors contend that he has no respect for democratic norms, and that he has introduced xenophobia and bigotry into the political mainstream.

In January, he will succeed President Obama, a man who is his polar opposite temperamentally as well as ideologically. Trump’s first forays into the political arena called Obama’s birthplace into question, without evidence. Obama, for his part, made his disdain for Trump clear as he campaigned on Clinton’s behalf.

Now Trump will take office on the promise of undoing large chunks of Obama’s legacy. His most famous campaign promise is to erect a wall along the southern border with Mexico. He has also pledged to repeal Obama’s signature legislative achievement, the Affordable Care Act, or ObamaCare.

Trump has said that he will put in place “extreme vetting” for people entering the United States from countries connected to terrorism. This proposal is a modification of an earlier call to ban Muslims from coming into the country — a statement that caused one of the many furors that dogged Trump’s campaign.

At a personal level, the presidency is an extraordinary capstone to a life lived large. Trump first found fame as a New York property developer. He got his start in that business from this father, who had mostly concentrated on turning profits in the less fashionable borough of Queens. That would not satisfy his son, who turned his sighs to Manhattan, erecting gleaming skyscrapers that bore his name.

Trump would branch out from real estate into numerous other businesses, from golf courses and casinos to steaks and mortgages. Several such ventures failed but enough of them succeeded to keep Trump’s name in the news — a goal that he has long treated as a personal imperative.

His celebrity found its purest form during his years as the star of the NBC show “The Apprentice,” in which contestants sought to impress him with their business acumen and avoid what became his signature admonition: “You’re fired!”

The show indirectly led to his worst moment of the presidential campaign, however. In October, a video from 2005 emerged, in which Trump was heard boasting to TV anchor Billy Bush about how his fame enabled lecherous behavior toward women.

“When you’re a star, they let you do it,” Trump was heard telling Bush. “You can do anything. Grab ‘em by the p – – – y. You can do anything.”

The storm that followed almost capsized his campaign, as Republicans rushed to distance themselves from the party nominee. But Trump stabilized matters with a feisty performance in the second presidential debate against Clinton.

He went on to narrow her poll lead in the final stretch of the campaign, assailing her as the emblem of a corrupt system. He also took advantage of a late announcement from the FBI that it was investigating new emails sent or received by Clinton at a private email address she used while secretary of State. A later announcement that nothing incriminating had been found in those messages clearly did not slow the GOP nominee’s gains.

Trump defined much of his campaign by what he was against: the GOP establishment, the media, the elites and, of course, Clinton herself. Now he must turn his attention to leading the nation.

He will face enormous challenges. But his achievement in winning the election on Tuesday shows just how dangerous it is to bet against him.

The first official trailer for the new film Dolittle starring Robert Downey Jr. and featuring WWE Superstar John Cena touched down on the world wide web on Monday.

Dolittle is scheduled to open in theaters worldwide starting in January 2020.

WWE.com released the following announcement today to promote the release of the first official trailer for the movie:

The official trailer was released for “Dolittle,” a retelling of the classic story of Dr. John Dolittle, a veterinarian who can talk to animals. Cena voices the role of Yoshi and joins a cast that also includes Robert Downey Jr., Antonio Banderas, Kumail Nanjiani, Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Selena Gomez and more.

Cena shared the trailer with his followers on Twitter, adding that he was “Honored to be included in such an amazing group and for such an epic tale.”
