MMA News: Fedor's Next Fight Announced, Rampage Lands Movie Role, Couture

— UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been cast in the A-Team movie based on the popular 1970s televison show. Rampage will play will play the role of B.A. Baracus, made famous by WrestleMania 1 main eventer Mr. T. The film begins shooting next year.

— On Wednesday afternoon at Fedor Emelianenko’s public workout session in New York City, Strikeforce CEO and founder Scott Coker announced that Fedor’s (30-1) first opponent under the Strikeforce banner will be undefeated heavyweight contender Brett Rogers (10-0). No date or venue has been announced for the fight, but its been discussed that Fedor’s first fight would take place in October or Nevember.

— Randy Couture is doing a video blog series leading up to his fight against Minotauro Nogueira this Saturday night on Pay-Per-View. Part 1 is now online and can be viewed at YouTube.com.

New Diva Debuts Tonight On ECW (*SPOILER*), "Superstars" Rating, Bob Barker

— Developmental talent Angela Fong, 24, made her much anticipated WWE debut at tonight’s ECW taping in Rockford, Illinois. The former BC Lions Felions Dance Team cheerleader was introduced under the name “Savannah.” It would appear that she’s the new backstage announcer for ECW as she conducted an interview with Tommy Dreamer and Christian during tonight’s show.

Fong actually made her first appearance in WWE during the 2007 Diva Search and though she didn’t make the cut, the company would sign her to a developmental contract in February 2008. She has been working as both as wrestler and ring announcer in Florida Championship Wrestling ever since.

— Last week’s edition of WWE Superstars on WGN America drew a 0.8 cable rating. The 11:00 p.m. replay drew a 0.2 rating.
