The Rennes trio of Steve Mandanda (37), Martin Terrier (25) and Benjamin Bourigeaud (28) have earned provisional call-ups to Didier Deschamps’ France squad for their Nations League fixtures later this month, according to France Bleu.
Should Mandanda be included in the squad, it would be the first time he has been selected since Euro 2021. He has enjoyed a positive start to life at Rennes, having made the move from Marseille this summer.
Neither Terrier nor Bourigeaud have any France caps to their name, although there have been strong calls, notably from Thierry Henry, for Terrier to be included in the squad after a breakthrough campaign last season. After scoring 21 goals in his previous Ligue 1 campaign, he already has three goals in seven appearances this season.
Bourigeaud, who only has two France U20 caps to his name, is also in line for his first call-up. Deschamps will name his squad for the fixtures against Austria and Denmark on Thursday.
