In order to ensure food is not wasted and goes to the needy, Save Food Committee in Aurangabad has succeeded in roping in many hoteliers to save food from hotels and restaurants that goes to waste and provide it to the needy.

A retired government official, Anant Motale, who is part of Ann Wachwa Samiti (save food committee), said over 25 hoteliers and government officials who took part in the meeting have decided to share food they cook in excess with NGOs working for the distribution of food, a report in the Times of India stated.
