Harald Wögerbauer will on 31 March become Austria’s member of the European Court of Auditors, replacing Hubert Weber, who leaves after 16 years. Wögerbauer, who will serve a six-year term, has previously served as a member of Austria’s Court of Auditors and, more recently, as a senior administrator in the Austrian parliament. 

Belinda Pyke will on 1 April take up the post of director for migration and borders in the European Commission’s home-affairs department. Pyke is moving from the Commission’s justice department, where she is director for equality.

Walter Stevens has been appointed head of the crisis management and planning department in the European External Action Service (EEAS). Stevens is currently Belgium’s representative to the EU’s Political and Security Committee.

Hansjörg Haber has been selected to head the EU’s civilian planning and conduct capability within the EEAS. Haber, a German diplomat, currently leads the EU’s monitoring mission in Georgia.

François Rivasseau, a French diplomat, has been named deputy head of the EU’s delegation in Washington, DC. Rivasseau is currently deputy chief of mission at the French embassy in Washington, DC.
