ATLANTA, GA – A 37-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after he allegedly went on an anti-Semitic rant during a Delta flight from Washington, D.C., according to reports.
David Toaff was taken to the Clayton County Jail by local police on charges of obstruction and disorderly conduct, according to USA Today.
“Local law enforcement met flight 1822 (DCA-ATL) in Atlanta due to a customer’s behavior onboard the flight,” Delta spokeswoman Adrian Gee told USA Today.
Witnesses said that Toaff demanded other Jewish passengers raise their hands so he could “identify them.” Once in Atlanta, Toaff was recorded by a fellow passenger arguing with police.
In the video below, you can hear a passerby call Toaff a “Nazi.”
In other recent in-flight racist tirades, a woman on a Los Angeles-bound flight was caught on camera yelling racist and homophobic slurs at her seatmate. In October, a man aboard a Ryanair flight called a woman an “ugly black bastard” after he heard her speaking with a Jamaican accent, according to reports.
