WWE NXT Results (4/3): Takeover Go-Home Show, War Raiders Destroy, Kairi Sane vs Bianca Belair

This week’s go-home edition of NXT kicked off with the NXT Tag Team champions!

THE WAR RAIDERS VS. UNNAMED TEAM

Rowe and Hanson came to wage war against a duo that was never named. This was an old school squash match and it was never before it even began.

WINNERS: THE WAR RAIDERS

The champs cut a promo after the match, sending a message to their Takeover: New York opponents, Aleister Black and Ricochet. The War Raiders are not finished, they have another set of victims on the way to the ring!

THE WAR RAIDERS VS. CEZAR BONONI AND ADRIAN JAOUDE

Once again, Rowe and Hanson brought the fight to their opponents and once again, the result was the same. One massive tag team move after another until Bononi and Jaoude were crushed in the ring.

A video package featuring Pete Dunne and Walter was shown next. Walter is challenging Dunne for the NXT UK Championship at Takeover: New York on April 5 in a match that many believe will steal the show and perhaps, the weekend.

A video from earlier in the day was shown in which Candice LeRae was interviewed outside the building. LeRae was approached by Aliyah and Vanessa Borne, who said she had no chance of becoming the NXT Women’s champion. Candice made a challenge and a match will likely be set at some point.

ONEY LORCAN VS. JAXSON RYKER

Lorcan was out first, followed by Ryker. Danny Burch was at ringside for Lorcan and The Forgotten Sons were at ringside for Ryker.

Oney took the fight o Jaxson, trading chops in the middle of the ring. Ryker gained the advantage and Lorcan tried to fight back, but to no avail. Ryker stayed on his opponent and kept Lorcan down for much of the match. This was certainly not the type of match that Lorcan has fought in the past, as he barely had any offense at all.

Lorcan finally managed to fight back, but Ryker maintained his advantage and hit his No Remorse finisher for the victory.

WINNER: JAXSON RYKER

A video rundown of the Takeover NXT title match was shown next, featuring interviews with Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano. The duo will face off for the brand’s vacated title on April 5.

Another video was shown, this time spotlighting Matt Riddle and The Velveteen Dream. Riddle will face Dream for the NXT North American Championship at Takeover: New York.

A flashback to the NXT match featuring Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic from five weeks ago was show next. An interview with Lee from earlier was then shown, in which he expressed his frustration over a rematch with Dijakovic not happening at Takeover. Lee announced that match will happen in two weeks on NXT.

The Street Profits will face Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel next week and Candice LeRae will face Aliyah on the same program.

This match was a teaser for the upcoming NXT Women’s Championship bout set for Takeover: New York. That bout features Belair, Sane and Io Shirai challenging Shayna Baszler for the title in a Fatal 4-Way.

This one was off to a methodical start, as both women were out to set the tone. Belair showed some acrobatics early on but Sane countered with her own theatrics. The match then picked up as Kairi took the fight to Belair. Sane was in firm control of the match and grounded Bianca, who struggled to fight back.

Belair finally took the reins and kept Kairi off balance until Sane then made her comeback. Belair was down for the count but Kairi could not put her away. Sane then went up to the top for her finisher but Belair climbed the ropes after her.

The two fought for a moment before Belair nailed Sane with a superplex. Bianca went for several pins in a row but could not get the win. The match then broke down when Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke stormed the ring. Io Shirai came down to help but then the women’s locker room cleared out.

Shirai hit a backflip off the top turnbuckle onto everyone on the floor, taking them all down She stood in the ring alone with the NXT Women’s Championship above her head as the show went off the air.
