Flip Gordon On His ROH Success

Ahead of this weekend’s Soaring Eagle Cup Tournament in Michigan, which you can get more details on at this link, ROH star Flip Gordon had the following to say to MLive.com regarding his position in ROH:

“It puts so many more eyes on me. It forces me to go out there and do my best. I’ve learned so much from being in the ring with all of them,” Gordon said. “It was really cool to be able to go out there with the guy who people say is the top guy. I can hang with the absolute best.”

It was quite the accomplishment for Gordon, who admits that he felt pressure early on in his ROH career because it was a major step up for him in working for a company with national TV exposure.

“At first I was really nervous, but I’ve realized that the mindset from everyone is to go out there and work the best match possible,” Gordon said. “As soon as you get past being on TV, you get back to basics and go out there and have fun.”
