Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, which featured the first-ever Randy Orton vs. Shinsuke Nakamura singles match where the winner, which ended up being Nakamura, would be named the number one contender for Jinder Mahal’s WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell.
The show averaged 2.582 million viewers, up from last week’s average of 2.455 million viewers.
Next week’s SmackDown number should beat this week’s, as it’ll feature the return of Vince McMahon, a US Title match between AJ Styles and Tye Dillinger, a Women’s Title match between Naomi and Natalya, and a Tag Team Title match between The Usos and The New Day.
