Aleister Black made his return to SmackDown tonight, attacking Big E to close out the show.
Black made an appearance towards the end of the fatal four way match for the Intercontinental title between Big E, Apollo Crews, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. Big E posted Commander Azeez and went to finish Crews off when smoke filled the arena, and Black appeared. Crews grabbed E’s legs, allowing Black to hit the Black Mass. Crews then pinned Big E to retain the title.
The show closed with Black standing on the entryway, smiling as the show went off the air.
In recent weeks, vignettes featuring Black have aired on SmackDown, where he talked about his father and what he has taught him, reading from a book called Tales of the Dark Father.

Prior to the new character, Black had not been seen on television in six months, last appearing on the October 12 edition of Raw where he lost to Kevin Owens in a No Disqualification match. Black was then drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2020 WWE Draft, but had not been seen on television until recently.
