PSG considering the return of Leonardo

According to Le Parisien, talks have indeed occurred between PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi and Leonardo over the possible return of the latter individual as Sporting Director.

Al Khelaifi is still thinking about it, but Leonardo would love to return.

PSG are considering multiple candidates for the Sporting Director role at the moment. Another is believed to possibly be Luis Campos of AS Monaco.

This would be the end of Olivier Létang as a Sporting Director and would be bad news for Laurent Blanc, who would lose some of his recruitment powers.

Lyon President Aulas refuses to give up on Ben Arfa, claims Leicester are in pole

Despite OGC Nice President Jean Pierre Rivère stating otherwise, Lyon President Jean Michel Aulas believes that Hatem Ben Arfa wants to join Lyon but that Leicester City are currently in pole position to land the player.

Speaking to Canal + this evening, Aulas discussed the French international’s future:

“Ben Arfa, it is a question of passion. He is close to our desire, our enthusiasm, to our fans. I think that he really wants to join Lyon. If he does not come, it will be for reasons that have nothing to do with passion. I believe that it is more Leicester City in terms of the direction he is heading. That is what people have told me who spoke to him on the phone this afternoon.”

A full report on Ben Arfa’s future to follow this evening.
