Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Rankings – February 11, 2015

EDMOND, Okla. — St. Cloud State (Minn.) took over as the new No. 1 team in the NCAA Division II wrestling rankings, according to the poll released Wednesday by the Division II Wrestling Coaches Association.

The Huskies received three first-place votes and finished with 154 points to edge previous No. 1 Maryville (Mo.) by two points in balloting of head coaches from around the country. The Saints, who have been top-ranked in four of this season’s six polls, had four first-place votes and 152 points

Defending national champion Notre Dame (Ohio) earned the remaining first-place nod and is third with 143 points, four ahead of Ouachita Baptist (Ark.). Rounding out the top 10 is Mercyhurst (Pa.), Colorado Mesa, Western State (Colo.), McKendree (Ill.), Nebraska-Kearney and Upper Iowa.

NDC and UNK each have two top-ranked individuals — 174-pounder Joey Davis and 184-pounder Garrett Lineberger for the Falcons, 133-pounder Daniel DeShazer and 197-pounder Romero Cotton for the Lopers.

Maryville will host the 2015 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, set for March 13-14 in St. Louis, Mo.
