WrestleMania 35 will be taking place in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium next April, and although the event is still several months away from taking place, one of the biggest rumored matches for the show has been Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey. According to a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, that is still the planned match for the current Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania next year but the match is still not completely set in stone just yet. It was also mentioned that Rousey and Flair will either be getting their rivalry started at WWE’s Survivor Series pay-per-view this November, or they may even choose to have Flair and Rousey face each other there before they meet at WrestleMania 35 in a a huge rematch.
One of the most memorable moments from All In earlier this month came when Cody Rhodes defeated Nick Aldis to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. Now that Rhodes is holding the title that his late father helped make famous, Cody is definitely hoping to make Dusty Rhodes proud and continue to be a traveling champion. Rhodes’ first title defense has just been announced for an upcoming Ring of Honor event on September 29th. Cody will put his new championship on the line against Willie Mack during the show. It was also announced not too long ago that Nick Aldis will receive a rematch against Rhodes for the championship at the NWA 70 event on October 21st.

The Battle of Los Angeles tournament has returned once again in Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and it has once again displayed some of the greatest talents in the wrestling business today. Interestingly, Pro Wrestling Sheet was in attendance for the tournament and noticed that NXT General Manager and talent scout for WWE, William Regal, was backstage and occasionally peaked through the curtains to watch the matches as a fan. Regal was also said to be at the tournament with current 205 Live star Brian Kendrick. There is currently no word on why Regal attended the PWG shows this past weekend, but be sure to stay tuned for all of the latest news and updates on William Regal, PWG, and the BOLA tournament.
I’d like to thank every one of the staff and competitors at PWG for their hospitality the last two nights.
