Intercontinental Wrestlemania Match, UFC Star Joining WWE? Paige

As announced on Raw this past Monday night, The Miz will be defending his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania this year, and he will be putting his title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Both men have beaten The Miz in the past, so both men had a legitimate reason to challenge The Miz for his title. According to a new report from PWInsider, WWE officials are currently discussing the possibility of adding more names to the Intercontinental Championship match at WrrstleMania. As of right now, the match still remains a Triple Threat match, but expect that to change very soon as the buildup towards the match intensifies in the weeks leading up to the event.
There has been a ton of crossover in recent years between MMA and pro wrestling. Former WWE Champion CM Punk left the industry in favor of pursuing a UFC career. On the other hand, Brock Lesnar left MMA to return to WWE while Ronda Rousey just joined the promotion earlier this year. Another former UFC Chamoion could be on the way as Fabricio Werdum has teased that he is negotiating with WWE. He told MMA Fighting that he will be meeting with WWE officials in San Diego later this week. It is possible that he could be meeting to discuss Ronda Rousey joining WWE or Brock Lesnar possibly leaving WWE for upcoming WWE projects, but Werdum has started that he would like to work for WWE if he were given the chance to do so.
Paige was reportedly forced into an early retirement earlier this year after receiving an injury at a WWE live event. Despite this, Paige still appears on WWE programming as a manager for the Absolution team on Monday Night Raw, which means that she accompanies Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose at the promotion’s live events as well. However, the former Diva’s Champion had just confirmed that she is taking the next week off from wrestling. She will be on tour with her boyfriend’s band Atilla for the remainder of the week. It is unkind of this means that Deville and Rose will also be missing live events, but Paige herself has just informed fans that she will not be appearing at any WWE events for a while.
