KOTOR 2, Fallout: New Vegas Writer-Designer Working on Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Game writer and designer Chris Avellone has revealed he’s just finished writing for the soon-to-be-revealed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Little has been detailed about the game following its surreal announcement/brief chat during last year’s E3, but just as we found out that we’ll get the reveal during this year’s Star Wars Celebration in April, Avellone also took to Twitter to reveal he has been contributing to writing the game for nearly a year.

Avellone – who’s probably most famous for his work on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas – has quite the CV. Considering how lore and story-heavy those aforementioned games are, we’re hopefully in for a weighty Star Wars story.

Respawn Entertainment, the new game’s developers, have gained their reputation for first-person shooting in games like Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends. Combined with the talents of Avellone, we could be in for a real treat when the game is released later this year.

Avellone also mentioned that he’s working on a “big bomb” that’s dropping next month. Per some PC Gamer, it looks like it could be the new game currently being teased by Paradox, believed to be a new Vampire: The Masquerade project.

Not only does Avellone’s LinkedIn line up in terms of dates and employment, but when asked by a Twitter follower to wink if it was the heavily rumoured sequel, he simply replied, “Shhhhhh—also, the undead don’t wink.”

We’ll be here the moment any more information comes out about Fallen Order. And if you, like me, want to spend as much time in a galaxy far, far away as possible, check out our preview of the insane new Star Wars development at Disney World.
