L’Équipe are reporting that AS Monaco have rejected Stade Rennais’ €10m offer for attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche (20).
Rennes have returned to make a second bid for the player after their initial €6m offer was rejected. The Breton club joined Lille OSC in the race to sign the Monaco academy product, whose entourage has expressed dissatisfaction with the current situation at the club.

In an interview with Nice-Matin, the player’s family have said that promises about game time this season haven’t been met, whilst also evoking the possibility of a departure on loan, or permanently.
Akliouche, has featured in eight games for Les Monégasques this season, but only half of those have been starts. He scored his first professional goal in the club’s shock Coupe de France defeat against Rodez.
According to sources contacted by Get French Football News, Monaco are reticent towards sanctioning Akliouche’s departure. The club still count on him in the long term, and would only be tempted into negotiating in the case of a very significant offer. The France U20 international’s contract runs until 2024.
