More Than 100 Hours And Counting As Rescue Operation For 13 Miners Goes On In Meghalaya

Rescue efforts which began on December 13 are still underway for the 13 miners who are stuck in a flooded 370-feet deep illegal coal mine in Meghalaya. The rescue efforts to pump out water have failed to yield any results.

It has been more than 100 hours and the rescue operation is still underway in East Jaintia Hills district.

The miners of ONGC have been called in to work their way into the mine after the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) failed to get out the labourers.
