Mumbai's Famous Elephanta Island That Has 1500-Year-Old Caves Finally Gets Electricity

It may come to some as a surprise, while for others, it may appear a standard Indian procedure, but after seven decades of patience and darkness, electricity has finally reached the famous Elephanta Island of Mumbai. The Island is known for famous and historic caves that are there for the last 1500 years.

This island is a home to around 1,200 people. The islanders may be near to the city, but unfortunately, have spent much of their lives without access to electricity.
