Speaking to RMC Sport following PSG’s 2-1 last gasp victory over Atalanta, the French club’s president spoke about the match and the futures of Kylian Mbappé & Neymar.
“This is a very special day, it is magnificent. We needed that to change the mentality. The players gave 200%, I am very proud. I thank everyone, in this not so easy period. Everyone was saying that PSG was not ready for the Champions’ League, but we showed a great mentality, with great players. Our aim is far along but we are not thinking about the final today, only the semi-final. It is very important to change the mentality. You also have the media, everyone doubts PSG. The Champions’ League, we needed this victory to go further.”
On the future of Kylian Mbappé and Neymar:
Neymar and Kylian (Mbappé) are amongst the best players in the world. Neymar was the man of the match, he did a great match. We found Neymar, who changes a lot of things in a team. I felt something special. They will both stay, neither of them will ever leave!
