According to PWInsider, some of the names that were backstage at last Sunday night’s Royal Rumble PPV were The Undertaker, WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson, WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff and Paige. The reason that The Undertaker was there was to see his wife Michelle McCool work the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. He did not give any indication to what his WrestleMania 34 plans are. WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson, the creator of the Royal Rumble match, was there to lend his expertise and advise.
WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff was there just to visit and he was said to have come in from nearby Baltimore where he lives. Paige was backstage but she was not used due to her injury. Several NXT Superstars were also backstage for the whole show, but some reportedly left after finding out they weren’t needed.
