News on WWE/Impact Meeting, Cena’s Cryptic Tweet, LAX’s New Deal

WWE and Impact Wrestling officials recently met with each other at WWE’s headquarters in Connecticut, and although Impact confirmed that the meeting was not made to discuss possibly selling the promotion to WWE, Impact officials did not state what the meeting was truly about. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it has been reported that WWE officials were the ones who requested the meeting to begin with, and that no significant deal or news came out of the meeting. Despite this, it was also mentioned that the animosity that previously existed between the two promotions has died down and they now have a much more positive relationship now. Perhaps a partnership of some kind between the two promotions could be made eventually.
John Cena’s days as a full-time WWE Superstar are likely behind him now. After competing for the company for over a decade as its top star, Cena has mostly remained focused on other projects outside of wrestling while only occasionally returning to WWE for some of their bigger shows. Interestingly enough, Cena posted a cryptic tweet online talking about how “nothing lasts forever,” and to enjoy each moment so that no one will look back at those moments with regret. Although Cena is clearly winding down his wrestling career, the 16-time world champion is not finished just yet. John Cena returns to the ring for the first time in weeks at the Super Show-Down event in Melbourne, Australia to team with Bobby Lashley for a match against Elias and Kevin Owens on October 6th.

Nothing lasts forever. When doing something you love make sure to be present and enjoy it. That way if and when it ends, you can look back with fond memories instead of regret.

The amount of talent competing on the Impact Wrestling roster right now proves has led to the promotion quietly hosting some fantastic matches this year. The likes of Johnny Impact, Austin Aries, and Tessa Blanchard are among Impact’s biggest stars at the moment, but it appears that the promotion is set to offer huge new contracts to one of their top tag teams in the near future. PWInsider has just reported that Ortiz and Santana of LAX are expected to receive new deals that will keep them working for Impact long-term. Although their current deals allegedly won’t be expiring anytime soon, Impact officials have been attempting to get the LAX member re-signed ever since they were in Mexico for their TV tapings earlier this year.
