It was reported by Fightful yesterday that WWE and legendary hip hop artist Eminem came to terms on an agreement to work together throughout the year. The deal would reportedly see Eminem contribute to the soundtrack for the WWE 2K20 video game and make at least one appearance on WWE programming to hype up the arrival of SmackDown on Fox in October. However, representatives of the rapper have denied that any deal has been made. In a statement issued to Pro Wrestling Sheet, it was mentioned that discussions between 2K Sports and a third party took place but never moved past discussions. Meanwhile, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp is standing by his original report despite receiving legal threats for the story.
The hilarity of us getting threats OF legal threats for publishing a story featuring information that Eminem’s group, 2K, management and WWE didn’t want out there. We didn’t sign any NDAs. We are free to report that information.

If Em’s team pulls or pulled the deal I’ll feel bad for those who put it together, but yep – a deal was agreed upon today for all the things I mentioned, regardless of who’s rep is saying what.

Threatening to THREATEN legal action? Send us the C&D, don’t give us the review copy or credentials and move on. A story got leaked, there’s damage control because people are mad.

Actor Stephen Amell garnered a bit of controversy earlier this week when he tweeted about the upcoming No Holds Barred match between Batista and Triple H. The “Arrow” star said that he was looking forward to seeing the match at WrestleMania 35 but added that having a celebrity involved would take away from the match. Batista responded later on but he did not seem pleased with Amell’s statement. Amell has since clarified that his tweet was intended to be a joke about himself. Amell received criticism from fans when he competed at SummerSlam and at All In despite being an actor rather than a trained pro wrestler. Amell says that Batista has always been kind to him though and hopes there are no hard feelings.
Hey Dave — I went out of my way to introduce myself to you in Atlanta at a convention so I could tell you what a big fan of yours I am. You couldn’t have been more pleasant. My tweet was meant to poke fun at me. It clearly wasn’t funny. Please don’t kill me. https://t.co/eCrMVdCi27

Earlier this week, Alexa Bliss announced that she has been selected to host WrestleMania 35 this year. Bliss has been commenting on how excited she is all week long, but new WWE roster member Nikki Cross has also stated how happy she is for Bliss. Following yesterday’s video wherein she commented on Bliss receiving the hosting gig this year, Bliss took the time to respond to the Scottish wrestler. Bliss said that Cross was not invited her party. The former Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion also warned Cross not to attempt any wild antics while she’s hosting the event this year. It will certainly be interesting to see if Nikki Cross does end up ruining Bliss’ hosting duties during WrestleMania 35 in April.
Poor @NikkiCrossWWE .. I don’t feel bad she wasn’t invited. I feel bad because she doesn’t know who she’s trying to mess with & what I’m capable of ??#LetsPlayNikki #TwistedBliss https://t.co/RJHNDVpozQ
