A woman identified as the attacker who opened fire at YouTube’s global headquarters in Silicon Valley on Tuesday, shooting at least three people before killing herself, was a vegan activist who had accused the tech firm of discrimination.
Nasim Najafi Aghdam, a 39-year-old vlogger who had raged against YouTube on her personal website, told family members she “hated” the company, accusing them of censoring her videos and cutting her ad revenue.
Her father, Ismail Aghdam, told the Bay Area News Group he had reported her missing and warned police that she might be headed to YouTube’s HQ as “she was angry” that the company had “stopped everything”.
