A rollercoaster year for Natalya went on a big upswing Sunday as she defeated Naomi to become the SmackDown Women’s Champ at SummerSlam.
This will no doubt be a memorable year for Natalya, who suffered the loss of her uncle, Smith Hart, recently to cancer, and on the opposite side of the spectrum has become a key member of the SmackDown women’s division as members of the “women’s revolution” have been integrated into the roster. Natalya also recently penned a heartfelt column in the Calgary Sun about Mae Young and what the upcoming Mae Young Classic means to her.
After SummerSlam, Natalya cut a promo about changes she wants to make to the SmackDown Women’s title belt, saying she felt Naomi disrespected it by using it as part of her glow gimmick. Here’s the “Glowstopper” on her thoughts:
