Strowman’s Return to the Ring Documented, Matt Sydal Injured

It has been quite a while since Braun Strowman has competed in a proper match in WWE. “The Monster Among Men” has been away for weeks now having elbow surgery. The injury prevented Strowman from wrestling Baron Corbin at the TLC pay-per-view in December. Strowman still won the match with the help of his fellow Raw Superstars, and he has continued to make appearances on some episodes of Raw lately, but he has not been medically cleared to return to the ring just yet. There is hope though as Strowman recently posted a message informing his fans that he is back in the gym. While Braun continues to recuperate, fans can check out the recovery process that he has been putting himself through.

WWE has uploaded a short documentary online showing Strowman training for his return to the ring. It is the first episode in what appears to be a series of videos documenting Strowman’s long road to recovery. Images and details from Braun’s elbow surgery can be seen in the video, but he appears to be optimistic for a quick turnaround. Braun Strowman is still perhaps one of the most popular members of the Raw roster right now, so WWE officials are definitely hoping to see Strowman get back on his feet as quickly as possible. Strowman is still being advertised to wrestle Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble event on January 27th. There is a chance that WWE may pull the match is Braun can’t compete, but that doesn’t seem too likely at this point.

Unfortunately, one of the most gifted high-flyers in the wrestling industry today may be taking some time off. It has just been reported that Matt Sydal is injured and could be missing some time in order to heal up from his setbacks. PWInsider reported yesterday that the Impact Wrestling Superstar has injured his knee. There is no word on how severe his injury is at the moment, but it did cause him to pull out of a planned appearance that he had set for this weekend. Matt was never scheduled to compete on Impact’s Homecoming pay-per-view later tonight, which means that the promotion won’t have to find any last minute replacements for him. Be sure to stay tuned for all of the latest updates on Sydal’s condition.
