WWE has announced a pair of segments for Monday’s episode of Raw.
Ahead of their WWE Championship match at Hell in a Cell, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will take part in a contract signing on Monday’s Raw. There will also be a segment where Shayna Baszler will come to Alexa’s Playground.
McIntyre became the number one contender to Lashley’s title by defeating Kofi Kingston in the main event of Raw earlier this week. The match had a stipulation where Lashley would have been suspended without pay for 90 days if he or MVP interfered or even came out to ringside. Lashley and MVP had interrupted a number one contender’s match between McIntyre and Kingston the previous week by attacking both of them.
Neither Lashley nor MVP got involved in this week’s McIntyre vs. Kingston match. After McIntyre won, Lashley came out to the stage and posed with the WWE Championship.
Hell in a Cell is taking place on Sunday, June 20. Lashley vs. McIntyre hasn’t been announced as taking place inside of Hell in a Cell.
In storyline, Alexa Bliss has used her supernatural abilities to cause Baszler to lose matches in recent weeks. Baszler lost to Reginald on this week’s Raw after fire shot up from the ring post as Baszler had Reginald in the Kirifuda Clutch. Reginald appeared on Alexa’s Playground later in the show, but Baszler crashed the segment and attacked him. Baszler told Bliss that they needed to have a chat and that she’d see Bliss next week. Baszler also said that Bliss’ doll Lilly was “just a stupid doll.”
RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle), The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods), Mace & T-Bar, Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado), and The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) will also take part in a five-team battle royal on Monday’s Raw. The winning team will become the number one contenders to AJ Styles & Omos’ Raw Tag Team titles.
