Update On SmackDown Announcing Position, Molly Holly Update, Raw CD Sales

— One person under considerationg for the SmackDown announcing position is Michael Hayes. Hayes has announced on several occasions over the years for different companies, dating back to the mid-80s. However, Hayes is the lead writer for Smackdown, so it may be hard for him to juggle to important duties. That could work against him landing the role. Television producer Kevin Dunn has a very short list of people he felt performed well in recent tryouts. We don’t have their names yet though. A decision on JBL’s replacement is expected to be finalized tomorrow by Vince McMahon.

— The WWE Raw music CD was released this past Tuesday. Based on a list for first day sales, the CD was notably absent. Mike Omansky, a music analyst, said they should have launched the project in late October, but that it still may end up successful. He also stated that the CD hasn’t gotten off to a good start in sales.

The Forest Lake Press has a story on former WWE Diva Nora “Molly Holly” Greenwald at this link. The story says she is now working with drug addicts at Minnesota Team Challenge in Minneapolis. Greenwald works with women over the age of 18 to overcome addictions. Greenwald said she’s known ten people who died of overdoses, specifically mentioning Mike “Crash Holly” Lockwood. Greenwald also clarified her current wrestling status by saying she isn’t retired, but simply taking a sabbatical.
