Updated date for this year's WWE Hell in a Cell PPV

WWE has made a slight change to its pay-per-view calendar for the remainder of 2020.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that this year’s Hell in a Cell PPV will now take place on Sunday, October 25. The show was originally set for November 1.

“The Hell in a Cell PPV that was scheduled for 11/1 has been moved up a week to 10/25, meaning the day after both Impact Bound for Glory and Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje in UFC,” Meltzer wrote.

WWE’s contract for their residency at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida runs through the end of October “unless mutually agreed upon in writing to either extend or shorten end date with at least two weeks’ notice.”

WWE previously didn’t have an October PPV on its schedule for this year. Prior to Hell in a Cell being moved up a week, Hell in a Cell and Survivor Series had both been set for November.

The next WWE PPV will be Clash of Champions on Sunday, September 27. That show was originally scheduled for September 20 but was moved back a week. Following SummerSlam and Payback, it will be WWE’s third PPV to take place at the Amway Center with the WWE ThunderDome.
