Last night’s four-way 60-minute Iron Man match to crown a new NXT Champion ended in a two-way tie.
Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Finn Balor, and Adam Cole faced off in the Iron Man match and all had won one fall heading into the final minute. Ciampa hit an Air Raid Crash from the middle rope on Gargano, but Balor then flew in with a Coup de Grace to pin Ciampa and take the lead with less than 20 seconds left.
Balor appeared to have the match won, but Cole hit him with a Last Shot and pinned him just before time expired.
William Regal then came to the ring and declared that Balor and Cole will face off in a one-fall-to-a-finish singles match next week. The winner will become the new NXT Champion.
Next week’s NXT is airing on Tuesday again due to the NHL playoffs. The episode is being called Super Tuesday part two and will also feature a steel cage match between Rhea Ripley and Mercedes Martinez.
