In a move that would give court hearing a new dimension, the Apex Court on Thursday upheld the plea of live-streaming of its proceedings, observing that the use of technology is to “virtually” expand the court beyond the four walls of the courtroom.
The bench presided by CJO Justice Dipak Mishra, Justice AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud held that this would help people in distant places to witness court proceedings.
