She’s back! Controversial pop star Miley Cyrus has returned to the music scene with a new track—the singer’s first in nearly a year. Cyrus teamed up with Zoë Kravitz and her band Lolawolf for the song called “Teardrop,” which was released on Apple Music on Tuesday and Spotify late Wednesday night.
The relatively low-key track, which features trippy echoes and heavy electronic synth, is a far cry from Cyrus’s well known hits like, “We Can’t Stop” and “Party in the U.S.A.” But that’s not a bad thing—by all accounts, it seems as though the shock-and-awe performer has grown up considerably in her time away from the spotlight.
“Fall in love and you love when it’s done / You fall in love and you love when it’s done,” Cyrus and Kravitz sing in eerie harmony in the chorus. We like!
