The WWE Draft will be returning to television in just five weeks time.
According to a new report from Dave Meltzer at F4WOnline.com, the Draft will be a featured component of the October 11 episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, in order to continue the momentum built up from the show’s debut on FOX the week before. It will then continue on the October 14 episode of Monday Night Raw.
The Draft will be a way to redivide the rosters, as it has been noted that once the blue brand arrives on FOX the two flagships shows will go back to being relatively separate entities.
WWE held a “Superstar Shakeup” earlier in the year following WrestleMania – which is essentially the same thing as the Draft depending on how the rules are laid out – but it was almost immediately invalidated by the announcement of a “Wildcard Rule” that ultimately allows anyone to come and go as they please on either Raw or Smackdown.
